"Mirage" - Didier Merah with Majed Salih

This photograph was the opening with me and Majed Salih.
I began to love not only his music but his color sense very much.
Therefore anyway, I wanted to connect to his feeling and sense without deciding the purpose.
But circumstances to surround him blocked our collaboration. Therefore I thought of my making music and poetry from an art picture of Majed.

Majed received all which I hope very willingly.
And completion of this "Mirage" would come to impress me with liking to face his work more deeply.

Why will I look back on it now?

Since this work was made, I thought that he might disappear under some situations from before me.....

私とMajed Salihとの始まりは、この一枚の写真からだったかもしれない。
私は彼の音楽だけではなく、彼の色彩感覚をとても愛し始めた。だからとにかく、目的を決めずに彼の感覚と繋がっていたかった。
だが、彼を取り巻く事情が私たちのコラボレーションを阻んだ。そこで私はMajedのアートピクチャーから、私が音楽と詩を作ることを思い立った。

Majedは私の望む全てを、とても快く受け入れてくれた。
そしてこの"Mirage"が完成すると私は、もっと彼の作品と向き合いたいと感じるようになった。

何故今、私はそれを振り返るのだろう???

この作品を作った時から私は、彼が私の前からいつか消えてしまうような予感がしていた...。
